ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to internal progression, we have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Lawyer to join our legal team! Reporting into our Legal Manager you will support the Group on a range of commercial law and IP matters. Operating in a fast-paced retail environment this role will challenge you to provide legal advice, always in line with our COG values and tone of voice. Day to day you will support the business on its trademark portfolio, IP clearances for product design, reviewing commercial contracts and dispute resolution activities. You’ll help to enable global teams by taking a proactive approach in delivering training and education. This is a truly unique opportunity to flex your expertise across a global market.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 3-5 years PQE in commercial law (and experience in IP law is highly advantageous)
• In-depth knowledge and proficient in the practical application of IP and/or commercial law (retail industry would be highly advantageous)
• Experience or exposure to working across multiple global markets, highly regarded
• Great communicator with the ability to adapt your approach in communication style in order to build and influence strong working relationships across all levels of the Group
• Previous experience having worked in a fast paced, agile working environment is preferred
• Exposure to employment law is highly regarded (e.g. in house or within a firm, graduate rotation, work placement)
