Degryse Electric is a Pleasanton-based commercial electrical contractor serving Northern California since 1982. The company performs commercial service, new construction, tenant improvements, remodels, restaurants, and design/build work across markets including medical offices, retail, industrial, and warehouse environments.

Role Summary

Degryse Electric is seeking a developing commercial electrician with a strong technical foundation, dependable work habits, and the ambition to become a top-level Journeyman and future Foreman. The position offers exposure to varied commercial projects and experienced field leadership rather than being confined to one project type.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform commercial electrical installations from rough-in through finish.
• Install conduit, wiring, panels, lighting, devices, and related electrical systems.
• Read drawings, layouts, and job instructions.
• Complete assigned work independently after receiving Foreman direction.
• Maintain NEC, safety, and quality standards.
• Coordinate material and tool needs with field leadership.
• Provide timely progress updates to the Foreman.
• Troubleshoot field installation issues.
• Work effectively across changing commercial jobsites.
• Support apprentices and less-experienced team members.
• Maintain dependable attendance and professional jobsite conduct.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately 4+ years of relevant electrical field experience for the developmental profile discussed during kick-off.
• Meaningful commercial electrical construction experience.
• Working knowledge of commercial electrical systems.
• Ability to understand plans and field layouts appropriate to experience level.
• Reliable attendance and work history.
• Positive, collaborative attitude.
• Desire to continue developing technically and professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Enrollment in or completion of a recognized electrical trade-school/apprenticeship program.
• Eligible or approaching eligibility for California General Electrician certification.
• TI, office, medical, retail, restaurant, or similar commercial experience.
• Non-union commercial contractor background.
• Leadership potential and interest in becoming a Foreman.
