Commercial Journeyman Electrician

Pay: Dependent on experience

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on commercial construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, can read blueprints, and works safely and efficiently in a team environment. This position is based in Georgia and will require travel.
This is a contract position with the potential for contract-to-hire based on performance and project needs.
Responsibilities
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial buildings
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
• Install conduit (EMT, Rigid, and PVC) and pull wire according to project specifications
• Install panels, switchgear, lighting systems, outlets, and control systems
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs
• Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code) and local building codes
• Test electrical systems and ensure proper functionality
• Maintain a clean and safe job site
• Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades on job sites
Qualifications
• OSHA 30 Certification (Required)
• Valid Journeyman Electrician license (TDLR)
• 3–5+ years of commercial electrical experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and installations
• Experience installing switchgear, panels, and lighting controls
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
• Experience bending and installing conduit
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on ladders or lifts
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites
• Ability to pass a background check for military base access
• Ability to pass a drug screening
