The Market Intelligence & Data Analyst Specialist provides centralized commercial support by enabling market

intelligence, lead investigation and qualification, CRM data integrity, and pre-sales activities.

The role contributes to sales growth, pipeline quality and proactive decision-making by delivering reliable market

insights, qualified leads and trusted data, while leveraging digital technologies, data analytics and AI-driven

capabilities to improve research, reporting, process efficiency and commercial effectiveness.

Working closely with Sales, Marketing and Commercial Excellence teams, the role also supports continuous

improvement initiatives through data analysis, dashboard development, automation and the practical application

of emerging technologies, while maintaining the flexibility to adapt to evolving business priorities.

1. Market Intelligence & Research

Contribute to the identification and prioritization of growth opportunities through continuous market and customer

analysis, including but not limited to:

 Identify and assess potential business opportunities and growth initiatives by monitoring industry trends,

regulatory developments, competitor activity and client information.

 Translate market intelligence into commercial insight, supporting decision-making through market sizing,

opportunity assessment and analysis for new service launches, extensions or market entry initiatives.

 Analyzing commercial and market data to identify patterns, trends and signals, leveraging appropriate analytical

methods, AI-powered technologies, Power BI visualizations and digital tools.

 Reviewing and analyzing project, lead and opportunity pipelines to support sales growth planning and identify

opportunities through data-driven insights.

 Conducting contact discovery, account mapping and customer profiling across defined sectors, geographies

and customer segments, leveraging AI and automation where possible to improve efficiency and insight quality.

2. Lead Investigation & Qualification

Support efficient and timely opportunity management by:

 Manage incoming leads and inquiries to ensure timely response, appropriate handling, and clear qualification

and routing.

 Qualifying leads based on commercial relevance, potential value and strategic alignment, using data analysis

and AI-assisted research to improve decision-making and efficiency.

 Enriching leads with relevant customer, market and service context prior to handover to Sales.

 Supporting prioritization to improve conversion efficiency and customer experience.


3. Data Integrity & CRM Enablement

Support commercial effectiveness through reliable systems and data by:

 Contributing to high-quality data management in Salesforce CRM.

 Ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness of data across accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities,

campaigns and activities, while supporting structured data models for reporting and analytics.

 Supporting pipeline visibility and reporting for the management teams through the development and continuous

improvement of Salesforce reports and dashboards.

 Contributing to consistent use of CRM processes, standards and governance and identifying opportunities to

improve reporting through automation and digital technologies.


4. Sales & Marketing Enablement

Provide flexible pre-sales and commercial support, including:

 Supporting teams with pre-sales preparation, research and opportunity support, leveraging AI and digital tools

to improve efficiency and insight generation.

 Supporting marketing-driven lead management, campaign follow-up and pre-qualification activities.

 Contributing to the identification of early commercial signals such as inactivity, volume changes or contract risk

through proactive analysis of commercial and CRM data.


5. Continuous Improvement & Operational Support

Contribute to the ongoing development of GBS and commercial operations by:

 Supporting process improvement initiatives across market intelligence, pre-sales support and CRM usage,

including the practical application of AI, Power Automate and other digital technologies to streamline workflows

and improve efficiency.

 Contributing to improvements in quality, efficiency, standardization and scalability through data analytics,

dashboard development and process automation.

 Documenting processes and best practices and supporting knowledge sharing.

 Supporting adoption of new tools, processes and ways of working including AI-enabled solutions and business

intelligence capabilities.

 Performing additional related duties as required to support departmental objectives and business needs. Lead or support digital innovation initiatives, including the development of Power BI dashboards, Power

Automate workflows and practical AI solutions to enhance market intelligence, reporting and operational

effectiveness.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

 At all times, complies with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct. Remains familiar with SGS quality

assurance procedures. Complies to all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures.

 Ensures that Affiliate deadlines are met and that the GBS team coordinator (or lab section manager in their

absence) is notified immediately if the specified turnaround time cannot be met.

 Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of departmental goals or for his/her personal

or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.

 Participate in scheduled weekly or monthly discussions with team members, lab affiliates, and supervisors as

needed, to ensure immediate and ongoing issues are addressed.

 Ensures that the workspace kept clean and presentable at all times.

Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.

 Min 5 yrs experience in market intelligence, sales support, pre-sales, commercial operations or data

analysis/business intelligence is required.

 Strong working knowledge of Excel and Power BI (including Power Automate); experience designing and

developing dashboards, data visualizations and business reporting solutions is highly desirable.

 Comfortable working with Salesforce CRM and digital systems including supporting reporting, dashboard

creation and data analysis.

 Demonstrates a strong analytical mindset with the curiosity and discipline to investigate details, validate

information and follow data through to clear, reliable conclusions.

 Practical experience using AI and generative AI tools to enhance research, data analysis, process efficiency

and productivity is highly desirable.

 Demonstrates curiosity and a proactive approach to evaluating and adopting emerging technologies that can

improve commercial effectiveness and operational efficiency.

 Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

 Professional English proficiency (C2 preferred).

 Travel is negligible.

teams.
