Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Service Technician / HVAC Salesperson with a strong technical background and a knack for customer service and sales. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing residential and/or commercial HVAC systems, while also identifying opportunities to recommend system upgrades, maintenance plans, and new installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of HVAC equipment (furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, etc.).
• Complete service calls efficiently and professionally, ensuring top-level customer satisfaction.
• Diagnose and service large-scale HVAC equipment such as rooftop units (RTUs), chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handlers, and make-up air units.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Generate and present estimates or proposals for new systems, accessories (e.g., air quality products, smart thermostats), and service agreements.
• Close sales opportunities and follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Identify and educate customers on repair vs. replacement options based on system condition and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of HVAC service experience (residential, commercial, or both).
• Valid HVAC license or certification (EPA 608 required).
• Strong understanding of HVAC mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
• Proven sales experience or strong aptitude for consultative selling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a professional appearance.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
