Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Pay: $28–$58 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with overtime opportunities

Hours: Approximately 45–60 hours per week depending on workload

Blue Mountain Mechanical is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing service team in North Georgia.

We are looking for a well-rounded technician who can troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair a variety of commercial HVAC systems. You do not need to specialize in one specific type of equipment. Experience with chillers is a plus, but it is not required.

This is a service-focused position, not a new-construction or installation role. You’ll work across a variety of commercial and light industrial environments, including office buildings, manufacturing facilities, and other commercial properties throughout the North Atlanta area.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC equipment
• Perform commercial HVAC service and maintenance across a variety of customer facilities
• Work on equipment including rooftop units, VRF systems, chillers, boilers, pumps, hydronic systems, split systems, and other commercial HVAC equipment
• Identify system issues and recommend appropriate repairs or solutions
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding equipment conditions, repairs, and service needs
• Complete service documentation and paperwork accurately and on time
• Minimize callbacks by properly diagnosing and completing repairs the first time
• Participate in the rotating on-call schedule

What We’re Looking For

• Commercial HVAC service experience required
• 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
• Experience working with a variety of commercial HVAC equipment
• Chiller experience is a plus, but not required
• EPA Universal Certification
• Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable for company vehicle insurance
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong customer communication skills
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently in the field

Additional HVAC certifications are a plus, but we're more interested in what you can actually do in the field than the number of certifications on your resume.

Pay & Schedule

• $28–$58 per hour, depending on experience and skill level
• Standard schedule is typically 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Technicians typically work approximately 45–60 hours per week, depending on workload
• Overtime is paid at time-and-a-half for hours worked beyond 8 hours in a day
• On-call rotation is approximately one 7-day rotation every 7–8 weeks, based on current staffing

Blue Mountain Mechanical is based in Cumming, Georgia, and primarily serves customers throughout North Atlanta and North Georgia. Technicians are dispatched from home, with much of the work concentrated around areas such as Marietta, Kennesaw, Alpharetta, Milton, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Cumming, and Canton.
