Title: Commercial HVAC Technician
Shift: Monday - Friday
Salary: $25.00 - $35.00+ per hour, depending on experience
Commercial HVAC Technician Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to install, commission, and inspect heating and cooling systems for new construction projects across the Toledo area. This role exists to ensure large-scale commercial HVAC installations are completed safely, on schedule, and up to engineering specifications.
Commercial HVAC Technician Responsibilities:
- Install commercial HVAC equipment, ductwork, and piping systems according to blueprints, company standards, and Toledo local codes
- Test and commission newly installed commercial systems to ensure proper performance prior to final project sign-off
- Perform complex troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on commercial-grade heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units
- Read and interpret architectural blueprints, mechanical schematics, and structural drawings for new construction layouts
- Maintain proper inventory of tools and parts on the truck and participate in regular inventory audits
- Keep assigned company vehicle and installation equipment in clean and safe working order
- Complete all digital installation paperwork, daily work orders, and project documentation accurately
- Follow all company, job site, and OSHA safety procedures and protocols
Commercial HVAC Technician Reporting Relationships:
This position reports directly to the Installation/Service Manager and has no direct reports.
About You:
- Possess a High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrate 5+ years of commercial HVAC installation or new construction experience
- Hold an active EPA 608 Certification
- Exhibit strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills on commercial systems
- Read and accurately interpret commercial blueprints and mechanical schematics
- Operate specialized hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Work independently on active job sites and prioritize daily installation tasks effectively
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, project managers, and job site superintendents
- Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record to operate the company vehicle

- Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl
- Continually works near moving mechanical parts and occasionally in high, precarious places on active construction sites
- Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, wet environments, and varying noise levels
- Lift and move over 50 pounds frequently
