Objective of Position

Commercial Glazier/Installer is a results-oriented self-starter who is meticulously detail-oriented, able to manage multiple functions in a project at once, possesses excellent time management and problem-solving skills, and demonstrates an eagerness to embrace new challenges. You are an expert in Commercial setting with excellent working knowledge of Storefronts, Curtainwall, Aluminum Doors, Windows, and Glass works. You are customer centric focused and thrive in a fast-paced working environment that requires open & effective communication between multiple disciplines.

Accountabilities

  • Professional installation of products and materials as outlined on work orders.
  • Install and service commercial aluminum systems and aluminum doors.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and architectural drawings to confirm project requirements for the installation of framing, glass and finishing materials.
  • Assemble scaffolds and operate various heavy-duty equipment and machines such as manlifts, zoom/boom truck, table saw, grinders, drills, and various power tools.
  • Works well with installation team members to realize best experience possible for the customer.
  • Comply with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and Durabuilt Commercial Solutions Health and Safety policies and procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Organizing and tools/equipment/material for optimum functionality
  • Report issues to be resolved, improvements to be made and solutions to be provided.
  • Ensures outstanding quality customer service through professional, dynamic, and competent interactions.
  • Must be a team player and work well with others as well as maintain a positive attitude to support our corporate culture.

Education / Certification

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Glazing apprenticeship would be an advantage.

Experience / Capabilities

  • 3+ years of experience in the installation of commercial aluminum framing systems as well as commercial doors is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must be able to lift heavy equipment and materials.
  • Experience in the construction industry with window and door experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to work in all varieties of weather.
  • Willingness to work out of town as required.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Must have basic hand tools, some tools are provided.
  • Be recognized as an authentic team player who puts his/her team’s talents in the spotlight.
  • Capable of identifying opportunities for business, cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Proudly promoting the company’s interests, values and culture and perceived as a model by his/her peers.
  • Strong moral sense, honest and rigorous & Customer focused.
