British American Tobacco Sweden has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Finance Executive in Malmo

We are looking for a Marketing Finance Executive to join our expanding team. The role will provide proactive commercial insights and transparency of marketing decisions for effective resource allocation across the entire value chain, covering Revenue and Investment side of Marketing Finance for both Combustibles and New Categories for Sweden market as well as Niconovum business in the Nordics.

As an important bridge between our Finance and Marketing functions, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis to ensure that commercial decisions conducted by the business are taken objectively, and in full awareness of the financial implications.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Finance Manager, you will also work closely with peers and senior stakeholders in our Nordics Finance, Marketing, CORA and Legal teams. As a trusted business advisor, you will play a key role challenging and supporting the business to improve overall performance.

The position is based in our Sweden head office in Malmo.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop high‑quality business cases to support strategic and operational decisions, providing clear financial insights, scenario modelling, and investment recommendations.
  • Own and manage the full marketing budget cycle, including planning, forecasting, tracking performance, and ensuring spend governance across channels and initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted Commercial Finance Business Partner to Marketing, Sales, and cross‑functional teams, driving financially sound decision‑making and challenging assumptions where needed.
  • Lead and support projects related to pricing strategy, promotional effectiveness, and marketing spend optimization, ensuring data‑driven insights translate into tangible business outcomes.
  • Partner with stakeholders at all levels, enabling alignment on priorities, risks, and opportunities, while maintaining strong communication and financial stewardship.
  • Ensure high data quality and financial accuracy, supporting month‑end close, performance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement across commercial finance processes, identifying opportunities to automate, simplify, or enhance ways of working.
  • Contribute to any other activities related to Commercial Finance, including ad‑hoc analysis, strategic initiatives, and cross‑market collaboration.
  • Comply and implement activities in accordance with the rules of laws and regulations relating to environmental protection, safety at work and fire protection, and internal EHS or Sustainability standards and procedures. 

What are we looking for?

  • A finance professional with experience in commercial finance, FP&A, business partnering, or marketing finance—ideally within a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills, with the ability to translate data into business insights and actionable recommendations.
  • A proactive business partner who builds trust, challenges constructively, and influences decisions across a wide stakeholder network.
  • Experience in budget ownership, financial planning, and performance management.
  • Solid understanding of pricing, promotional mechanics, and/or marketing ROI is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, with a structured, detail‑oriented approach and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity for non‑financial audiences
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in cross‑functional setups and contributes to a positive team culture.
  • High proficiency in Excel and financial systems; experience with BI tools is beneficial.
  • Fluent in English; Swedish is a plus but not mandatory
