Job Description

We are looking for a Commercial Finance Controller to join our Warsaw team on a maternity cover contract for approximately 18-24 months. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a key finance business partnering role within an international FMCG organization.

How you will make an impact

As a Commercial Finance Controller, you will be a trusted finance partner for our Sales, Marketing and Logistics teams. You will turn data into insights, challenge assumptions, and support business stakeholders in making informed decisions that drive profitable growth.

Working closely with local teams, colleagues across Europe, and our Shared Services organization, you will gain broad exposure to commercial finance processes and business decision-making.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Analyzing customer profitability, commercial performance and business trends, and providing actionable recommendations to the Sales team
  • Supporting forecasting, budgeting and month-end closing activities
  • Preparing management reports, financial commentary and performance insights
  • Monitoring sales prices, discounts, trade investments and commercial provisions
  • Preparing sales, profitability, P&L and cost analyses to support business decisions
  • Identifying risks, opportunities and areas for performance improvement
  • Collaborating with stakeholders in Poland, Denmark and other international markets

What will make you successful

We are looking for someone who combines strong analytical capabilities with a proactive and business-oriented mindset. As a person, you are structured, proactive and comfortable working independently while building strong relationships across the business.

To succeed in this role, you likely have

  • A university degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in controlling, commercial finance, FP&A or finance business partnering
  • Fluent Polish and very good English communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills, including working with large datasets, pivot tables and financial analysis
  • Experience working with SAP or another ERP system
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to translate financial data into clear business recommendations
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
