About Us

Art Processors are leading experience designers, partnering with the cultural and tourism organisations to attract and engage large audiences. We combine the most inventive creative and technical skills to design compelling exhibitions, attractions and places.

A little about the role…

We are looking for a Commercial Finance & BI Analyst to join our Shared Services team in a permanent role that can be performed remotely from anywhere in Australia. This role will work across both our Experience Design (projects) team and Pladia (software product) teams to provide insights that help ensure they are making commercially sound decisions. This role will use data to provide insights into business performance and suggest areas for and methods of improving operations. You will translate analytics work into findings for application by the broader business, including for use in strategic decision-making and planning.

This is an ideal role for somebody with well developed finance fundamentals and commercial acumen, who enjoys working with data and systems to generate insights that they can share directly with business leaders. The role offers a lot of opportunity to engage across our business, including with our leadership team, providing a direct link between how your role can help to influence future performance.

You could be the one if you have…
  • Advanced skills with PowerBI and DBT (SQL). These are the primary systems that you’ll work with in the role and hence previous experience completing tasks such as preparing data and reports is a key requirement

  • Experience with back end data pipeline processes and APIs (Hevo / Zapier), data modelling and database maintenance (DBT / SQL / Google Big Query), presenting insights with Power BI / Looker

  • Translating business requirements into new data products to support commercial understanding and growth

  • Data Integrity & Governance: Own the maintenance, system documentation, and administration of internal data platforms to safeguard data quality, ensure tracking accuracy, and formalise structural calculations

  • Demonstrated understanding of best practice BI architecture, schemas and components

  • Finance Business Partnering experience, specifically the ability to breakdown and explain technical financial information in a way that is easily understood by stakeholders without a financial background

  • FP&A experience, including annual and project budgeting and regular reporting

  • Experience preparing reconciliations, P&L reviews and journal entries

  • Experience working in either a SaaS business or a consulting/agency environment. This role requires you to support both

  • Well developed communication and time management skills. You’re upbeat, responsive and helpful!

  • A detail orientation and ability to act with discretion

What we offer

We promote a friendly, human work environment, providing you with the support, tools and resources to flourish in your role. You'll be able to draw on the support of a widely experienced team while pushing the boundaries of what's possible in your craft and delivering unique experiences to some of the most innovative institutions in the world.

In addition to the above, you’ll be able to:

  • Work flexibly with access to a range of flexible work arrangements. If you’re Melbourne based, this includes the choice to work remotely or hybrid/full time in our Abbotsford office. If you live outside of Melbourne, you’ll work remotely full-time with opportunities to work from Melbourne where possible!

  • Have access to generous paid leave and parental leave policies. Our leave offering includes volunteer leave, life leave, back up carers leave, menopause leave, grandparents leave, flexible public holidays…too many to mention!

  • Have access to an annual cultural institution stipend

  • Have access to materials and services provided by our partners, including Pride in Diversity

About Art Processors

Art Processors is a global experiential design and technology company. We partner with cultural and tourism organisations to invent new realities of human experience.

We offer specialist interactive media and exhibition design services that set a new standard for immersive storytelling, alongside a technology platform that makes it easy to deliver, benchmark and continually improve experiences.

Art Processors began in 2011 with a mission: to change the way a museum could look and feel at the Museum of Old and New Art (Mona). We sought to democratise the experience; to create new ways of storytelling, no wall labels or scholarly rhetoric.

When we started out, the technology we needed didn’t exist, so we invented it.

Ten years on, we’re still inventing—dreaming up new ways of storytelling, adding new ways of doing things to our technology platform, and forging new partnerships.

Understanding and continually exploring the unification of experiential design and technology is critical to everything we do. So too is ensuring we have a positive impact on the people who visit the organisations we partner with—it’s why we do what we do.

Our ‘special sauce’ is our multidisciplinary team. We are artists, strategists, engineers and scientists skilled at harmonising people, place, technology and storytelling to create experiences that resonate with audiences. We believe anything is possible and if it doesn’t exist we invent it.
