Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.

Reporting to the Country Manager, ANZPI, the main function of the role is to drive the Commercial Excellence processes and supporting systems to optimise sales force efficiency and effectiveness activities across ID portfolios to achieve current and future ARDx Infectious Disease ANZPI business goals. Plan, direct and control appropriate affiliate improvement and development initiatives as agreed by the CM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics, ANZPI Commercial Excellence Principles, develop guiding principles for each of the Sales Force Effectiveness enablers, and associated learning support.
  • Drive field force effectiveness and efficiency via key levers such as KPIs, review process standardisation, incentive processes, analytics, field force data and dashboards, field force size, deployment and customer targeting. Build capability through the development of a competency framework and operationalise for sustained performance.
  • Coach and support the sales managers to increase effectiveness of field force. Engage sales managers to gain insights and develop a Sales Force Excellence mindset whilst maintaining a strong performance culture throughout ARDx ID.
  • Design and deploy integrated analytics and dashboards to draw cause and effect relationship cut across Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE), SFDC, Marketing, Market Insights, Customer Relationship Management.

Education and experience required

  • A Tertiary degree in Business or related field
  • Qualifications in the areas of Healthcare or Science – highly desirable A background in Diagnostics, healthcare or a life science discipline within a sales role will be advantageous
  • Extensive experience in a sales leadership focusing on field force effectiveness in a global organisation.
  • Experience in coaching and developing successful team
  • Experience as Commercial Excellence lead, analytics, SFE - desirable
  • Strong Competency & Capability to operate Power BI & SFDC , as Must Have

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills,
  • Proven establishment & execution of a sophisticated, value-adding sales operations function in a small-medium business
  • A proven track record of being a results-driven leader, with a knack for complex & creative problem solving
  • The ability to collaborate cross-functionally to align on strategic direction.
