Job Description

Commercial Excellence Manager

Ireland

Are you passionate about turning data, insights, and strategy into commercial impact? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where you can shape commercial excellence initiatives, influence key stakeholders, and drive business growth? If so, this could be the opportunity for you. Join Novo Nordisk as a Commercial Excellence Manager and help optimise commercial performance while contributing to better outcomes for patients worldwide.

Your new role

As Commercial Excellence Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial effectiveness across the organisation. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop strategic initiatives, and ensure exceptional execution of commercial plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving commercial excellence initiatives by identifying improvement opportunities, implementing best practices, and optimising commercial processes to support business growth.

  • Analysing market trends, competitor activities, customer behaviour, and performance metrics to generate actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.

  • Developing and implementing strategic activity and incentive plans that align with business priorities, market opportunities, and customer engagement objectives.

  • Optimising the use of CRM solutions through user support, training, continuous improvement activities, and data-driven recommendations to maximise impact and adoption.

  • Collaborating with sales, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, facilitate effective communication, and support successful execution of commercial initiatives.

In this role, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, providing recommendations that influence commercial strategy and business performance. You will also represent the function in strategic discussions and contribute to the development of a culture of continuous improvement.

Your new department

You will join Customer Excellence within the International Operations EVP area. Customer Excellence is dedicated to enhancing commercial effectiveness by combining strategic thinking, data-driven insights, and operational excellence to deliver sustainable business growth. The team works closely with commercial functions and key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that resources, capabilities, and strategies are aligned to drive meaningful outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact initiatives while working in a collaborative and international environment.

Your skills and qualifications

To succeed in this role, we are looking for a commercially minded professional who combines strong analytical capabilities with excellent stakeholder management skills.

We imagine that you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial marketing, sales excellence, business strategy, or a related commercial function, with a demonstrated track record of driving business growth.

  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience translating complex datasets and market insights into actionable business recommendations.

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at different organisational levels.

  • Proven project management skills, strategic thinking, adaptability, and a proactive approach to solving complex business challenges.

Experience with CRM systems, performance metrics, commercial planning, and incentive programme development will be considered an advantage.
