Basic Duties

• Provide exceptional service to customers by performing maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs to Electric Power Generation and Industrial equipment.
• This includes paralleling switchgear and electrical controls.
• Inspect and recommend service repair options.
• Communicate between customer and field dispatch.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• You should have a minimum of four years of experience in electric power generator maintenance and repair.
• Demonstrate your ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of efficiency and cleanliness.
• Good decision-making skills and the ability to follow directions are essential to excel in this role.
• Represent Altorfer's professional image with your effective communication skills and strong work ethic.
• Show your organizational prowess by writing technical reports and using resources for information when needed.
• Basic knowledge of Office software, preferably MS Word, Excel, and email, is expected.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:

This position offers an exciting mix of field and shop environments, primarily at customer job sites. As a Union Power Field Service Technician, you may be required to walk, bend, and lift up to 75-100lbs on a continuous basis. Safety is paramount, and appropriate safety equipment will be provided as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
