Job Responsibilities for Commercial Electricians (Small to Medium Projects):

  • Installation and Maintenance Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial settings, including wiring, panels, circuits, outlets, lighting, and electrical equipment.

  • Troubleshooting and Repairs Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in commercial projects, using a variety of tools and techniques to efficiently identify and resolve problems.

  • Compliance with Codes and Standards Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and federal electrical codes, as well as safety standards and building regulations.

  • Blueprint Interpretation Accurately read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations and upgrades.

  • System Upgrades and Modifications Upgrade and modify existing electrical systems in commercial buildings to meet new requirements, improve performance, or add new components such as outlets, lighting, or equipment.

  • Safety Protocols Follow strict safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, to ensure a safe working environment on all projects.

  • Collaboration Work closely with other contractors, engineers, and project managers to complete projects on time, within budget, and with the highest quality standards.

  • Preventive Maintenance Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the ongoing reliability and performance of electrical systems.

  • Emergency Response Provide on-call support for emergency electrical repairs, offering quick and efficient resolution of critical issues.
