About Freedom Solar Power

Freedom Solar Power is the leader in turnkey solar installations, providing high quality, cost-effective, reliable solar solutions for residential and commercial markets. Based in Austin since 2007, Freedom Solar has installed more than 281 megawatts of solar panels for tens of thousands of homeowners and hundreds of top companies such as Ford, Toyota, Whole Foods, Office Depot, Chevrolet, the University of Texas, and more.

Every idea starts with a problem. Ours was simple: solar was too complicated.

In 2007, the solar market was clouded by installers with aggressive sales tactics who were taking customers’ money but not with their best interests in mind. A solar installation requires 7+ steps, and most companies only cover 1 or 2, leaving the rest to the homeowner to figure out.

Our founders experienced this firsthand, as Bret was a homeowner who wanted solar for his home but couldn’t get any companies to return his call, and Adrian was a solar craftsman who was getting on roofs to fix solar installs left and right. These two idealists wondered, how could those companies who sell such a pure, important product for our future, do business in such a careless way? They partnered to build a truly full-service solar team that would put the customer in control, because ultimately, we give a damn! We hold ourselves accountable to your outcomes through a 25-year product, performance, and service warranty.

We staff in-house experts across sales, design, permitting, installation, and customer care. We hire people who are humble and hungry to leave the world a better place. We only install carefully curated high-quality solar technology, and we do so with an attention to detail, so you and your families can depend on the power.
