This role leads the Commercial function for Mobile Postpaid and plays a critical part in shaping and delivering the financial performance of one of Optus’ most significant product portfolios.

Partnering closely with the EGM of Consumer Mobile Product and the broader Product Leadership team, you will lead the development of financial strategies, plans, and insights that support growth initiatives and ensure strong commercial outcomes. Success in this role requires the ability to influence at the executive level, work seamlessly across finance and product teams, and drive high‑quality commercial outcomes through others.

What You will Do

  • Lead the Consumer Mobile Postpaid Product Commercial team in developing and implementing financial plans and strategies to support Postpaid’s growth initiatives
  • Work closely with the Consumer SLT to provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations on Consumer Mobile Postpaid performance and strategies
  • Develop and implement financial models and tools to support business decision-making processes
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Oversee financial analysis, including monthly and quarterly performance reviews, variance analysis, financial modelling, and scenario planning
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators to monitor and improve financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Lead and support strategic finance projects across the Consumer Product portfolio as required

What makes you perfect for the role?

  • Lead the commercial and financial strategy for the Mobile Postpaid portfolio, driving sustainable growth, profitability, and performance outcomes.
  • Act as a senior business partner to executive leadership, providing high‑quality commercial insight, analysis, and recommendations to support decision‑making.
  • Own strategic and financial planning, including long‑term business plans, forecasting, performance management, and investment evaluation.
  • Oversee pricing, profitability, opex/capex management, and business casing to optimise commercial returns across the product portfolio.
  • Influence and deliver outcomes through a complex, matrixed environment, working cross‑functionally with finance, product, and corporate teams.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire high‑performing teams through strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage complexity and multiple priorities while ensuring accurate, clear, and timely reporting for executive and board audiences.
