Job Description

Position Title – Commercial Director – Malaysia, Hach is a 100% subsidiary of Veralto.

Job Location – Selangor, Malaysia.
Travel Required - As per job requirements, typically 40-60%. Knows driving, has a car and a valid driving license.

Responsible for leading and managing the sales and service team, establishing, and nurturing relationships with key clients, and implementing effective initiatives to meet and exceed targets.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and service strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales and service team to achieve the objectives by disseminating the budgeted performance goals and implementing value selling philosophy, sales funnels, and action plans.
  • Communicate the Company’s vision and value proposition with our customers and vendors, enhancing the Company’s brand.
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with customers and suppliers to better align with their respective business goals, target market and solution focus.
  • Evaluate the current sales and service activities to identify areas of strength and assess those activities that must be improved to meet the current demands as well as future aggressive growth.
  • Monitor technological changes, market trends, competitive products/pricing, and be a key participant in identifying and analyzing the products to be developed for and channeled to the marketplace.
  • Lead and develop team by establishing annual goals; hiring and training new associates; and coaching, monitoring, and appraising individual performance by policy deployment tools and improving processes with a focus on kaizen and continuous improvement.
  • Drive a high-performance culture across the business, with a philosophy of meritocracy, where great performance is rewarded. Focus on enabling our top talent to develop their careers.
  • Build strong employee engagement within the Company and achieve high employee retention rates.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing/ Engineering degree in Chemistry or Instrumentation; MBA is a plus.
  • 15+ years of sales/marketing experience, of which at least 3+ years are in leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of success within the water industry and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and issue resolution.
  • In-depth knowledge of water analysis technology, environmental regulations, and industry trends.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.
