2: Regional Credit Manager

The bank is hiring Regional Credit Managers to lead and scale its credit function across key Texas markets (DFW, Austin, Houston). This role focuses on team leadership, credit quality, and process consistency—not loan approval authority.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of 3–5+ credit analysts per region
• Oversee credit underwriting quality and consistency across assigned markets
• Review loan packages to ensure they meet policy, structure, and risk standards before approval
• Provide training, coaching, and development for analysts
• Ensure adherence to loan policy, covenant compliance, and risk management standards
• Act as a bridge between credit, lending, and executive teams
• Help scale and structure the credit platform during growth and system transitions
• Collaborate with other Regional Credit Managers to manage workflow and capacity balancing

Organizational Structure

• Regional alignment (DFW, Central Texas, Houston)
• Hybrid model:
• Dedicated analysts per region
• Shared support for overflow work

Authority

• No direct lending authority
• Focus is on quality control, leadership, and credit execution

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years in commercial credit / underwriting
• Prior experience leading or mentoring credit analysts or PM teams
• Strong understanding of:
• CRE and C&I underwriting
• Loan policy and risk frameworks
• Ability to operate in a growing, evolving credit environment
• Experience in banks undergoing scale, system, or process changes preferred
