About Viktor

Viktor is the AI employee. He lives in Slack and Microsoft Teams, connects to thousands of tools, and does real work for real companies: finance, marketing, ops, engineering. We're building the product that replaces half the SaaS stack.

The team is small. The scope is not.

The Short Version

You are Viktor's first dedicated legal hire. You own the legal work that helps Viktor do business: hands-on commercial contracts under US law, AI-specific contracting, practical data protection, and the external counsel who cover everything else. You review, draft and negotiate yourself and stay on a matter until it is signed or resolved.

You report to Raje, our CFO. Warsaw is preferred; remote within Europe works.

The Hard Part

AI contracting raises questions most templates do not answer: what happens to a customer's data, who owns the output, and where responsibility sits when the product acts for a customer. You take positions on these in live customer, supplier and partner negotiations, then turn them into templates and negotiation positions the team can reuse.

The role combines that judgment with routine drafting, obligation tracking and administrative follow-through across a cross-border business with US, Polish and German entities. Vendor-contract volume is growing and legal reviews are getting harder to handle ad hoc. You make them handleable before they become urgent.

What You'll Actually Do

• Review, draft and negotiate customer, supplier and partner agreements under US law: SaaS terms, order forms, NDAs and DPAs. Give clear recommendations and remain involved until signature or resolution.
• Own AI-specific contracting issues: data use and training, output ownership, liability and warranties.
• Lead legal readiness for enterprise deals and diligence. Maintain usable templates, negotiation positions and an organised contract archive.
• Own practical data-protection work. Translate regulatory or specialist advice into actions with owners and deadlines.
• Manage external counsel: briefs, budgets and advice, coordinating other jurisdictions and specialist matters through the right people.
• Support fundraising and corporate transactions. Help Finance keep records, approvals, filing deadlines and authorities current across the US, Polish and German entities. Corporate affairs are a secondary support responsibility, not the core of the role.
• Improve legal intake, drafting and tracking with approved AI tools and human review.

Your First 90 Days

• Active commercial matters are owned through signature or resolution, with status, material risks, decision-makers and next steps visible to the relevant teams.
• A usable core set of contract templates and negotiation positions is in place, covering recurring commercial and AI/data issues.
• A prioritised legal-readiness action list exists for enterprise reviews, data protection and relevant AI regulation, with clear owners and escalation needs.
• A practical external-counsel workflow for briefs, budgets and advice is running, and outstanding corporate support items are identified with Finance.

Who You Are

• Admitted to practise in a US state, with hands-on experience drafting and negotiating US-law commercial contracts. You can name the agreements you personally handled.
• Commercial judgment. You distinguish material business risk from a drafting preference and propose workable alternatives.
• You own matters end to end: negotiation, resolution, obligation tracking, administrative follow-through and early escalation. You know what happened after signature.
• You run the US-law core and coordinate other jurisdictions, especially the EU, knowing the limits of your own expertise and when to bring in local or specialist counsel.
• Precise written and spoken English with customers, founders and advisers. Organised, discreet and proactive: you raise an issue together with a proposed next step.

Not This Role

This is a hands-on commercial counsel role. If you want a primarily corporate or governance remit, expect to delegate the drafting and negotiation, or treat every drafting preference as a blocker, this is not the right fit.
