This role is focused on displaying an in-depth knowledge of kitchen equipment – HVAC, steam, hot side (Air Fryer, Ovens, etc.), cold side (Walk in Freezers, Refrigerators, etc.) and regularly scheduled for kitchen appliance maintenance work that requires advanced knowledge. Technicians are responsible for maintaining, modifying, troubleshooting, and repairing a large inventory of electric and gas commercial kitchen equipment and appliances.Why P&D Appliance?Competitive Pay Earn between $35.00 - $41.00/hour (varies based on skill set). • Adhering to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Using a variety of tools to troubleshoot and repair gas, electric, water, refrigeration, and steam powered commercial kitchen equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of various types of tools, common and uncommon commercial kitchen and HVAC parts, and application of principles of electricity such as Ohms law and Watts law
• Communicating professionally with customers and colleagues regarding required repairs and status
• Navigating various service software and communications channels to provide quality service.

Qualifications

• MUST HAVE 2-3 years of experience in repairing commercial gas, electrical, steam, and/or refrigeration equipment.
• Strong electrical, electronic, mechanical skills.
• Goal-oriented with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent customer communication skills.
• Ability to work hard, be punctual, and stay organized.
• Preferred: Experience with commercial cooking equipment, CFESA certification, EPA Universal Certification, and computer literacy.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
• Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standards.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Standard Working Environment:

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance and lift equipment.
• Repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing up and down ladders.
• Extensive daily travel to work site location.
• Exposure to electrical, steam, and high heat units that require extreme caution and safety equipment.
• Occasional to frequent exertion in high and low temperature environments (over heated kitchens, rooftops, outdoors, etc.).
