Commercial Controls Specialist - HVAC Products | Carrier Enterprise

Carrier Enterprise (CE) is a premier national distributor specializing in residential and light commercial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products, parts, and supplies. We operate primarily in the B2B environment, selling our products through licensed HVAC dealers and contractors. These dealers are independent companies that sell, deliver, and service Carrier, Bryant & Payne products to residences and businesses in their respective markets. The Manager of Controls will assist and train commercial contractors with Carrier i-Vu controls. This position will be expected to draw up submittals, assist in controls start-up, support and trouble shoot i-Vu controls system when called upon by our clients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide a primary resource for our customers to answer controls questions.
• Assist in operating the existing Certified Controls Expert Contractor Programs.
• Maintain Technician Certification documentation and establish training & testing requirements.
• Assist in conducting training classes for the sales & installation of Carrier controls systems for dealers.
• Attract elite contractor memberships in the Factory Controls Authorization Program.
• Supports roll out new controls products to the Controls Expert dealers.
• Grow the Carrier Commercial Controls presence in the assigned Carrier Enterprise region(s).
• Manage the interface between the factory and our customers.
• Travel throughout the assigned region(s) to provide support to Carrier controls dealers.

Requirements:

• An undergraduate degree in technical discipline
• 5 years of Experience in HVAC Systems Controls support.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in HVAC systems Controls support.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers in a clear and concise manner.
• Proficiency in using remote support tools and software to diagnose and resolve customer issues.
• Customer-centric mindset with a passion for providing exceptional service and resolving customer problems effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Familiarity with HVAC commercial systems Controls Software, ideally i-Vu.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, coordinating efforts with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple customer cases simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on new HVAC technologies, products, and industry trends.
