Purpose of the Job

Supports International Chemicals Business Segments in understanding and improving their financial performance by providing finance tools, models, training and analytical capabilities. Works with stakeholders from Commercial to assess actual and forecasted P&L, Working Capital and Cash Flow, supporting informed and timely decision making.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provides financial reporting and analysis to understand, manage and improve performance across the value chain, supporting decision-making by commercial stakeholders
  • Translates business needs into clear and effective requirements for the Financial Controlling and Business Analytics organization
  • Supports high-quality actual and forecast financial and commercial data availability for decision-making
  • Supports understanding and correct interpretation of financial results through presentations, workshops and targeted training
  • Supports the bottom-up forecast and budget process for Business Segments’ Cash Flow and P&L in alignment with the IBP process
  • Supports effective management of CAPEX growth projects from idea through gate approval in alignment with Business Growth & Capital Analysis
  • Contributes to development of financial value chain scenario modelling to support strategic decision making
  • Supports set up of pre-negotiation documents and business case documentation
  • Uses Business Segment insights to help shaping and continuously evolve the Financial Controlling strategy

Formal Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Chemistry or a related field

Working Experience

  • At least 2 years’ industry experience in Finance, M&S, IPL or a related function

Required Personal and Professional Skills

  • Business and Commercial Acumen
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams
  • Preferably a sound understanding of chemicals financial reporting systems
