Job Description

The Commercial Controller plays an active role in steering financial performance and supporting commercial decision‑making. The position takes ownership of budgeting, forecasting, profitability assessments, and pricing evaluations, ensuring that commercial initiatives are aligned with the company’s financial objectives.

Roles and Duties – core business

Planning & Financial Steering

  • Manage the preparation of short, medium, and long‑term plans, as well as forecasting and reporting cycles, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct profitability analyses for products, channels, and customer segments, providing relevant insights for business decisions.
  • Monitor commercial initiatives, highlight deviations, and propose actionable measures to improve performance.

Commercial Governance & Pricing

  • Oversee Tactical Programs (e.g., Go2030), coordinating closely with Sales, Brand Management, and Volkswagen Group Italy counterparts.
  • Assess and validate pricing campaigns for financial products, ensuring alignment with internal methodologies (including SEKO reporting).
  • Contribute to the Pricing Committee by preparing analyses and evaluating proposed commercial initiatives.

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Contribute to the enhancement of controlling methods, tools, and systems to ensure effective performance monitoring.
  • Develop targeted ad‑hoc analyses to support strategic and operational decisions.

Competences

  • Degree in Economics.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a structured and complex company.
  • Solid understanding of controlling principles; financial mathematics knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with SAS is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English.
