
What's the role?
We’re looking for a Commercial Content Solutions Specialist to develop and deliver high-impact commercial content that drives meaningful outcomes for our clients while upholding editorial integrity.
Working across our State & Communities business unit, you’ll create compelling sponsored and branded content, identify new commercial opportunities, and collaborate with commercial, and sales teams to shape content-led campaigns. This role has a strong focus on government and medium-sized enterprise clients across Sydney and Western Sydney.
You’ll be part of a dynamic commercial content team, working on creative campaigns that deliver real impact for audiences and clients. We offer a collaborative hybrid work environment with flexibility to meet publishing and campaign deadlines.
What you’ll be doing:
Create and commission high-quality commercial content across print, digital and social platforms, including sponsored articles, advocacy features and integrated campaigns.
Translate client briefs into engaging, persuasive storytelling aligned with both commercial, audience engagement and publishing objectives.
Identify potential clients and industry sectors, building relationships and uncovering content-led opportunities.
Collaborate with Commercial Editors, sales teams and freelancers to deliver campaigns on time and to brief.
Contribute to campaign ideation and content strategy under the guidance of senior commercial editorial leaders.
Monitor content performance using analytics, SEO insights and digital engagement metrics to maximise reach and impact.
Maintain high standards of accuracy, ethics and quality across all content.
Who are you?
A degree in Journalism, Communications, Media or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience in writing, editing or content production, ideally within media, marketing or branded content environments.
Commercial awareness and ability to identify potential clients and build trusted relationships.
Proven ability to produce high-quality commercial or branded content across multiple platforms.
Strong storytelling, editing and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Interest in business, news media and the Western Sydney business community (highly desirable).
