Position Summary:
The Commercial Commodity Day Shift Operator helps operate areas within the elevator and outdoor slabs to assure compliance with established procedures relative to quality, productivity, and safety. Responsible for assuring that we maintain the highest level of customer service to our growers and commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and changeover of cleaning line equipment while verifying all setup procedures have been completed correctly.
- Evaluate material defects versus equipment malfunctions and make operational adjustments as needed to maintain product quality.
- Enter production order information into the SCADA system and monitor operations to ensure efficient processing.
- Load and unload grain commodities by rail and truck.
- Weigh grain using the SCADA system and accurately enter production and order data.
- Clean and maintain production equipment, machinery, and workstations to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Inspect facilities and equipment daily to verify proper operating conditions and maintain the quality of stored grain.
- Identify equipment issues or process improvement opportunities and report findings to the CCO Lead.
- Assist in other production areas as needed to support business operations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to meet company driving standards.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
- Ability to operate and monitor SCADA systems or the ability to learn.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, multitask, and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized production environment.
Certifications/Licenses
- Forklift certification required or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
- Valid driver's license required.
Preferred

Qualifications
- Experience using SCADA systems in a manufacturing or processing environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (AGC ERP) or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Knowledge of grain handling, commodity processing, or food manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of lot numbering systems.
Working Conditions
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods, including bending, reaching, climbing, and other physical activities throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and other scheduled hours as needed.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing and grain processing environment with exposure to production equipment, dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
