Commercial Cleaner – Richmond Traders Shopping Centre

Richmond | Saturday and Sunday | Part Time | Multiple rosters available

About the Role

As a Commercial Cleaner, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of key areas throughout Richmond Traders Shopping Centre.

You’ll work across amenities, food courts, common areas and other designated areas, ensuring the centre is consistently clean, tidy and welcoming for customers and retailers.

The role involves regular cleaning, waste management, maintaining presentation standards and interacting professionally with customers when required. You’ll be part of a team but will also need to confidently complete tasks independently and manage your responsibilities throughout your shift.

• Richmond
• Consistent weekend work
• Saturday and Sunday
• Multiple proposed rosters available: Sat & Sun – 6:00am to 2:00pm OR Sat & Sun – 9:30am to 5:30pm OR Sat & Sun – 3:00pm to 11:00pm

What You’ll Be Doing

Your day-to-day work will mainly involve:

• Cleaning and maintaining shopping centre amenities, ensuring they are hygienic, stocked and presentable.
• Cleaning food court areas, including floors, tables, seating areas and surrounding spaces.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of common areas, walkways and other public spaces.
• Completing waste collection and disposal in accordance with site procedures.
• Responding to spills, mess and other cleaning requirements throughout the centre.
• Maintaining a high standard of overall site presentation at all times.
• Interacting with customers in a friendly, professional and respectful manner when required.
• Working with your team to ensure cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standard.
• Identifying and reporting hazards, maintenance issues or other concerns to your supervisor.
• Following company policies, procedures, cleaning standards and safe work practices at all times.

About You

We’re looking for people with a good attitude who are reliable, safety conscious and comfortable with hands-on work.

You’ll ideally:

• Be reliable and punctual, with the ability to consistently attend your rostered shifts and travel to Richmond on Saturdays and Sundays.
• Take pride in your work and have good attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining clean, safe and well-presented areas.
• Be customer-focused and professional, with confidence interacting politely and respectfully with customers, retailers and centre staff.
• Be comfortable with hands-on work, including being on your feet, completing physical cleaning tasks and working in a busy shopping centre environment.
• Work well independently and as part of a team, while following cleaning procedures, instructions and workplace safety requirements.
• Be safety conscious, including using cleaning chemicals and equipment correctly and reporting hazards or issues when identified.
