Commercial Banking Operations Specialist

This is an excellent opportunity to join EB Business Management, Central Support Team (EB BM CST) in partnering the business units to provide optimal administrative support to customers on their business banking needs.

You'll work closely with our commercial banking teams to identify and resolve operational issues, and you'll need to be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. By taking a proactive and solutions-focused approach, you'll be able to make a real impact on our business and our customers.

What you do

Business & Operational Support

  • Provide support to Business Units in account opening documentation checks.
  • Support Business Units in financial spreading and preparation of credit review packs.
  • Coordinate with valuers on valuation requests for credit reviews and ad hoc business requests.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure timely renewal of fire insurance policies.
  • Perform data quality reviews and ensure accuracy of business information.
  • Act as a key liaison between Business Units and internal operational departments to resolve customer-related matters efficiently.

Project Management & Transformation

  • Plan, coordinate and execute departmental projects and change initiatives from inception through implementation.
  • Partner with business, operations, technology and product teams to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Drive business process reviews and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, controls and customer experience.
  • Prepare project updates, presentations and management reports for key stakeholders.

Technology & AI Enablement

  • Identify opportunities to leverage digital tools and data analytics to reduce manual effort, improve turnaround time and enhance service quality
  • Support the implementation of process automation initiatives that will strengthen operational resilience and improve productivity
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to address business challenges.
  • Promote best practices in the responsible and effective use of AI and digital tools.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to streamline end-to-end processes and establish sustainable operating models.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Banking, Finance, Technology, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in project management, business management, operations, business transformation or banking operations.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and driving process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with AI and productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of banking products, credit processes and operational workflows will be an advantage.
