Job Description

Join us as a Senior Legal Counsel and support our global business with strategic legal expertise. You will advise on complex commercial agreements, partner with key stakeholders, and help manage risk while contributing to a high-performing international legal team.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Review and negotiate agreements in connection with commercial transactions
  • Offer general legal advice to Company management and functional business groups
  • Build and manage ongoing relationships with key legal stakeholders
  • Partner with key business stakeholders to understand business context and priorities
  • Mitigate major risks that threaten the delivery of work for contracts that are on customer forms or created internally

Qualifications:

  • Law degree and a professional license / authorization to practice law with 10+ years of commercial contracting experience
  • Previous experience with multinational industrial / manufacturing companies preferred but not required
  • Previous in-house experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong experience in commercial law including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with end customers
  • Proficient in drafting various types of contracts in English
  • The ability to identify, analyze, assess and communicate legal risks to enable internal clients make quality, risk-adjusted business decisions
  • Experience in managing and supervising a team of lawyers and/or paralegals. This includes providing guidance, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and fostering professional development within the legal team.
  • Strong organizational skills - ability to coordinate multiple responsibilities and geographies concurrently and prioritize to meet required timelines
  • Decisive decision-maker who understands global organizational impacts and has cultural awareness
  • English Fluency (other languages a plus)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Flexibility to adapt and lead through change as business requirements evolve
  • Familiarity with multiple Ecolab Divisions preferred
