Job Description

Mission:

Ensure follow-up and liaison with customers/prospects and support the sales network from the request for quotation to payment

With a strong focus on profitable growth and customer excellence, the Sales Assistant will:

  • Build and formulate the offer to customers under responsibility
  • Monitor offers and their adaptations by proposing economic and/or technical alternatives, relying on the logistics department and the technical department
  • Carry out the review of customer requirements at the consultation and/or order to distinguish the products and verify the conformity of the purchase order in accordance with quality standards if applicable
  • Manage/monitor the order book of assigned customers from their registration to payment
  • Propose optimization solutions in the management of allocated customer credits and order tracking
  • Manage customer credit lines and calculate financing needs
  • Participate in the optimization of customer inventory management and logistics
  • Manage consignment stock in compliance with contracts
  • Implement appropriate procedures to ensure the shipment and invoicing of products
  • Cooperate with finance, technical, logistics, quality and transport departments to secure commercial activity and optimize customer service.
  • Set up and participate in meetings with customers to meet their needs for information
  • Communicate with the international and external network
  • Ensure the response to customer requests on legal and regulatory aspects by relying on the relevant internal departments
  • Research, analyze and record customer forecasts in the ERP

Responsibilities exercised and latitude of action

  • Ensure that consultations are processed as quickly as possible
  • Participate in the smooth running of the sales department by developing its versatility
  • Participate in updating business procedures
  • Ensure/Manage order tracking

Specific professional knowledge

  • Proficiency in French and English language in a professional context, knowledge of German is a plus!
  • Basic knowledge of international trade (INCOTERM rules, payment terms, export taxes, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of communication
  • Mastery of office and ERP tools
  • Minimum level of education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Supervisor:

  • Hierarchical Reporting: Deputy Commercial Director (N+1)
  • Operational Scope: Responsible for the respective market zone
