The RoleThis is a high-impact role at the heart of our commercial decision-making.You’ll combine advanced analytics, commercial modelling, and strategic insight to influence key decisions, strengthen supplier negotiations, and drive profitable growth. Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll translate complex data into clear, compelling stories that shape our commercial strategy.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead advanced commercial analytics including profitability modelling, rebate analysis, and scenario planning to support strategic decisionsDeliver deep commercial insight across margins, cost price, and performance to identify risks and opportunitiesDevelop and maintain executive dashboards and reporting using Power BI and advanced ExcelCreate engaging, high-impact presentations to influence senior stakeholders and leadership teamsAnalyse vendor financials, ownership structures, and market data to inform negotiation strategy and risk managementOversee key commercial metrics including vendor income, rebates, contract performance, and cost movementsChampion vendor governance and risk management, ensuring robust controls and data integrityPartner cross-functionally with Buying, Finance, Supply Chain, Screwfix, and KingfisherDrive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to automate and enhance reporting and processesProvide strategic insight support through scenario analysis, market intelligence, and performance evaluation
You’ll be a commercially minded, analytical leader who can operate confidently in a fast-paced environment.
Proven experience in Commercial Analytics, Commercial Finance, or Strategic Insight roles (ideally within retail or a fast-moving commercial environment)Advanced Excel expertise (modelling, automation, scenario analysis)Strong Power BI / data visualisation skillsExperience analysing vendor financial performance and external market dataAbility to translate complex data into clear, actionable commercial insightsExcellent communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholdersComfortable working in ambiguity and managing multiple prioritiesA continuous improvement mindset, always looking to simplify and enhanceStrong collaboration skills and a commercially driven, results-focused approach
