Join our Finance team as a Commercial Analyst, Projects, and be part of a highly collaborative environment supporting major enterprise initiatives. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to deliver high quality financial insight, control, and partnership across large and complex portfolios.

What You’ll Do | Your day to day will consist of

  • Monitoring project financial performance across the portfolio, including capex, opex, and benefits.
  • Tracking actuals vs forecast, identifying variances, and highlighting risks/opportunities.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial policies, investment frameworks, and approval processes.
  • Partnering with project teams to develop robust, decision-ready arguments.
  • Supporting investment and expense governance processes, including approvals and ongoing monitoring.
  • Providing consolidated reporting of forecast and plan, gathering insights into variances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Supporting finance processes, including Mid/FY Year end reviews, annual net book value reviews, and more.
  • Taking initiative to spot potential improvements and assisting in the simplification, standardisation, and efficiency of financial processes and reporting.

What You Bring | What makes you perfect for the role?

  • Proven experience in financial control, project finance, and expense management.
  • Outstanding skills in monitoring financial performance and identifying variances.
  • A solid grasp of financial policies, investment frameworks, and approval procedures.
  • The capability to develop robust and decision-ready arguments.
  • The ability to assist financial processes and governance frameworks to encourage trusted, accurate, and compliant financial management.
  • Experience in providing insightful and forward-looking reporting, planning, and forecasting.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively with finance, project/portfolio managers, and business partners.
  • Taking initiative to spot improvement opportunities and assist with process simplification and standardisation.
