We are looking for a Commercial Analyst to join the Commercial Team.

The Commercial team define all Commercial processes & initiatives at PureGym, from pricing and promotions to member strategy and vending machine sales!

The Role

The PureGym Group is a top-10 global gym business with over 730 total sites and 2.5 million members across 6 countries. Our mission is to bring high quality, affordable fitness to everyone, everywhere, ensuring customer centricity is woven into the breadth of our product. You will be part of the Group Commercial & Marketing team, driving overall Commercial performance and revenue delivery across the business.

In this fast-paced environment, you will provide analysis to support the Revenue Manager and Head of Revenue Management in driving commercial value and be involved in decision-making on commercial strategy.

Your responsibilities will be varied and include:

  • Pricing Decisions: Detailed analysis is required to support our strategy of pricing every PureGym individually. You will build models that drive this analysis, feed into important decision-making on strategy and track the impact of changes that are made.
  • Competitor Tracking & Response: Build a detailed understanding of our competitors to become PureGym's resident expert on the competitive landscape. Use this knowledge to set & execute our competitor response strategy, protecting revenue where we are impacted by competitor action.
  • Commercial Management of High Value Gyms: Support the strategy for commercially managing gyms through new site openings, refurbishments and transfers, and work with other stakeholders to ensure these key moments are a success.
  • Ad-Hoc Strategic Projects: Work on high-impact commercial projects that drive long-term value for the business, such as the pricing architecture used to sell memberships.

We are looking for an ambitious individual with strong Commercial acumen and a passion for analysing data to drive actionable strategic decisions.

The following core attributes are essential:

  • Analytical firepower - Strong financial and scenario modelling skills, with the ability to conduct complex analysis where required to support commercial decision-making and evaluate business outcomes.
  • Self-starter & ability to work in a fast-paced organisation - Thrives in a dynamic environment, being adaptable and resilient when priorities shift. Ability to prioritise amongst competing demands, delivering output quickly where required
  • Commercial thinker & value driver - Strong understanding of commercial dynamics, including the trade-off between price and volume, competitive positioning and market response, and retention vs acquisition
  • Attention to detail, without losing sight of the big picture - Delivers precise and accurate analysis, whilst ensuring recommendations are aligned to the broader strategic context

Qualifications & Skills

>- 1-2 years of experience in a strategic or commercial role

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a top-level University
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - Engages with stakeholders from across the business to collaborate effectively. Compelling storyteller who can turn analysis into key insights & takeaways for decision-making
  • Experience working with different stakeholders across an organisation to deliver Commercial value to team members
