We’re looking for a Senior Commercial Advisor to join Aurecon’s commercial team and partner closely with Project Managers across our major projects. This is a hands-on, project-facing role ideal for someone with an accounting foundation who enjoys problem-solving, building relationships, and helping delivery teams understand the commercial story behind their projects. You’ll support project setup, forecasting, variations, revenue recognition and Workday inputs - becoming a go‑to commercial partner for PMs needing guidance and clarity. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’:

• Partner with Project Managers to guide them through project setup, forecasting, variations and Workday processes
• Troubleshoot issues with commercial data, identify risks early, and help PMs understand project financial performance
• Review project forecasts and cost‑to‑complete assessments to ensure accuracy and commercial accountability
• Provide pricing support for bids and material variations
• Help ensure consistent revenue recognition, cash flow management and working capital outcomes
• Coach PMs to build their commercial capability and confidence
• Collaborate with Commercial Managers, Project Accounting, and the Manila support team to resolve project issues
• Use ERP/project systems (e.g., Workday) to diagnose and solve commercial challenges

What we’re looking for:

• Accounting/financial background with relevant tertiary qualification (CA/CPA preferred).
• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within professional services or consulting.
• Strong proficiency in pricing, forecasting, and revenue recognition processes.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust.
• Proven ability to design and deliver effective training programs.
• Demonstrated success in supporting finance/commercial initiatives aligned to business strategy
• Attention to detail combined with a strategic perspective on financial and operational drivers.
