Commercia Sales/Business Development

Full-time- Exempt

The position is responsible for generating sales and bid opportunities in a new region for the company, to include activities such as cold-calling, prospecting, qualifying, and selling to prospective clients.

DUTIES include, but are not limited to --

• Create and execute a sales plan
• Call on prospective customers to create and maintain Company visibility and solicit bid opportunities
• Develop a Customer base in which to promote the Company and to prospect for potential business
• Develop and deploy marketing materials and efforts emphasizing salable service features
• Develop Proposal Scope(s) of Work, with an emphasis on providing solutions for the Customer
• Generate and present professional Proposals to Customers, to include follow-up post-bid
• Manage accounts of Customer base, to include coordination and advocacy of projects with the Operations team

QUALIFICATIONS include, but are not limited to --

• Degree in Business or related fields
• 4+ years sales experience, preferably in the field
• Proficiency reading and understanding plans, drawings, and/or technical specifications
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency using computers and electronic means of communication

Physical Requirements

Standing and Walking: Standing or moving continuously for 6 to 8 hours per shift is common for retail and floor sales roles. Office or remote sales roles require long periods of sitting.

Lifting and Carrying: Lifting and handling merchandise or inventory, regularly ranging from 10 to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 35 pounds or more for bulky items.

Reaching and Bending: Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching overhead or below the waist to stock and organize products.

Communication: Speaking clearly and listening actively so customers and coworkers can understand instructions and details.

Vision and Dexterity: Using close vision for computer work or viewing product details, alongside finger dexterity to operate cash registers, keyboards, or mobile devices.
