Position Summary

DeVivo Collision Centers is seeking a skilled Combo Body Technician/Painter to support our expanding East Hartford operation. This role combines collision repair and automotive refinishing responsibilities, and is ideal for an individual who can independently complete repairs from initial preparation through final paint application.

Responsibilities

• Perform collision and body repairs on a variety of vehicles
• Prepare repaired surfaces for refinishing (sanding, grinding, feather-edge)
• Mix, match, and apply automotive paint and coatings
• Perform final finishing, buffing, and quality inspections
• Maintain equipment and work areas in accordance with safety standards
• Ensure all repairs meet company and customer quality expectations
• Collaborate effectively with team members to hit shop workflow and production targets

Qualifications

• Proven experience as both an Auto Body Technician and Automotive Painter
• Comprehensive knowledge of paint systems, collision repair techniques, and industry best practices
• Ability to complete repairs independently from start to finish
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Lifting & Mobility: Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally; ability to bend, kneel, reach, and climb.
• Vehicle Access: Ability to enter and exit vehicles repeatedly to perform inspections and repair work.
