About the Position
The Marketing and Brand Manager is one of the most exciting positions available within Colourette for the right strategic and creative marketing person. You will be a part of the core leadership team working alongside CEO, CFO, and Head of Sales and be jointly accountable for the growth of the business. You will have full ownership of the shape and direction of the brand including (but not limited to) brand positioning, brand assets, consumer insights, portfolio management, campaign development; as well as financial performance (P&L management). Your team will serve as a champion for the brand internally, representing the voice of the consumer in all conversations and working closely with various departments to create a holistic, consistent customer experience.
For this opportunity, we are looking for a well-rounded professional who is passionate about all the aspects of brand-building but also able to straddle analysis and manage financial performance for sustainable business growth. You are extremely entrepreneurial, commercially ambitious, a go-getter, passionately curious, and ready to roll up your sleeves to embark on a great learning adventure on what it takes to build and scale a business.
Responsibilities:
1. Brand and Marketing
a. Define brand and sales growth strategy together with core leadership team, refining Colourettes brand positioning to resonate strongly (functionally & emotionally) with our customers.
b. Develop distinctive brand assets, sharpening customer experience across all touchpoints (DTC, retail, social, affiliates, partnerships, activations, etc.)
c. Drive brand story through the development of creative, standout campaigns to increase brand awareness, trial, and repurchase
d. Oversee execution of all marketing efforts and campaigns across all brand-building activation levers such as Digital, Social Media, Channel activation, Events, and PR
e. Track and monitor brand and competitor performance metrics and be able to shift gears and modify plans based on data and insights
f. Lead in-house market research efforts to drive consumer insights and translate these into actions and initiatives across the organization (e.g. product development, marketing, sales, customer service)
g. Define Colourette's portfolio strategy, including the role and positioning of Colourettes Core, Limited Editions, and other NPDs
2. P&L Management
a. Translate growth strategy into brand targets, tracking and reporting on achievement of key metrics
b. Manage overall brand budget to deliver on both topline and bottom line targets
c. Own brand forecasts to provide critical input into Supply Chain and Inventory management
d. Ensure sustainable business growth by managing overall brand profitability levers (e.g. Pricing, promotion, A&P spend)
3. Team Management and Organizational Capability-building
a. Manage and coach the brand team (covering marketing, socials, and creatives), providing mentorship and feedback to help them reach their full potential
b. Develop and oversee the achievement of team and individual OKRs and KPIs
