Colorectal Surgery Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants Role Scope:
The Colorectal Advanced Practitioner will work in an ambulatory setting and has potential to evolve into perform daily hospital rounds at St Vincent Medical Center for transition of care from hospital to home.APPs responsibilities will include new patient consultants, short and long term post- operative follow ups, and coordination of patient care across multiple disciplines.Additionally, APP will be expected to learn and perform in office procedures such as complex wound care, incision and drainages, and ostomy care.Advance practitioners daily collaborate with attending physicians and in office nursing staff to ensure the well-being of the colorectal patients. This opportunity may require travel to our satellite offices.
