Chronic Care Commercial, International Market, Partner Markets
This master thesis project will explore how Coloplast can expand its partner network and business presence into North and West Africa. The project will combine a strong academic and practical dimension, making it both a valuable business project and an opportunity for the student(s) to apply analytical frameworks in a real-world context.
Phase 1 will focus on market research and understanding. This will include desk research, analysis of available data, and interviews to build a comprehensive view of the market landscape in North and West Africa.
Phase 2 will focus on market selection and prioritization. Based on the research findings, the student(s) will define relevant evaluation criteria and assess potential markets to identify the most attractive and feasible opportunities.
Phase 3 will focus on the concrete market approach. Once the target market(s) have been selected, this phase will explore how Coloplast should enter them, including the market entry model, partner selection, and cooperation structure.
The project offers the opportunity to work on an exciting international expansion topic, with the potential for direct exposure to the region through field visits and close interaction with Coloplast and external stakeholders. By the end of the project, the student(s) should deliver clear insights and recommendations on which North and West Africa markets to prioritize and how to approach them for market entry.
We are looking for students holding an M.Sc. in Business or Commercial Studies with a passion for international market expansion.
Your project will be guided by Nino Garcia, Head of Sales for North Africa in Partner Markets, alongside Jon Rud, Senior Director, Partner Markets. They bring extensive expertise in international market dynamics and will offer valuable mentorship throughout your journey.

Coloplast develops products and services to make life easier for people with deeply personal and private medical conditions. These conditions are often associated with trauma and taboo. The more intimate the condition, the greater the requirement to come closer to customers, understand their world and develop solutions that are sensitive to their special needs. We call this intimate healthcare.
Closeness to all customers makes this possible. We listen to better understand needs and respond by finding new ways to do things better together. We lead the way by bringing the best ideas first and fast to market in the form of medical devices and service solutions.
Deeply private and personal medical conditions are our focus. Our passion to make a real difference to people’s lives is what drives and unites us. Our culture supports high ambitions and releases the full potential of our own people to achieve them.
Our business includes Ostomy Care, Continence Care, Advanced Wound Care, Interventional Urology and Voice & Respiratory Care. We operate globally, employing more than 16,500 people.
