Job Description

A leading healthcare organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced Colon & Rectal Surgeon with American Board certification to join its specialist surgical team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive colorectal surgical care, including the management of complex and elective colorectal conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist/consultant-level colorectal surgical care.
• Diagnose and manage colorectal, anal, and pelvic conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency colorectal surgical procedures.
• Manage complex colorectal conditions, including colorectal malignancies, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, and anorectal disorders.
• Perform minimally invasive and laparoscopic colorectal procedures where appropriately trained.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans.
• Provide post-operative management and follow-up care.
• Work collaboratively with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumour boards and clinical case discussions.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
• Contribute to clinical governance, teaching, research, and quality-improvement activities.

Requirements

• MD / MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• American Board Certification in Colon & Rectal Surgery.
• Relevant specialist/consultant-level clinical experience.
• Current board certification and good professional standing.
• Experience in a tertiary-care or academic hospital is preferred.
• Eligible for DOH/DHA medical licensing, depending on the location.
• Strong clinical, communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary team-working skills.
