Job Duties

Under broad direction, this position is responsible for advising the company concerning simple to moderately complex legal issues related to business activities. Acts as a company advocate and advisor with respect to legal matters, provides guidance concerning legal rights and obligations, and recommends best practices and courses of action related to legal issues. Researches the intent of laws and judicial decisions and applies them to specific circumstances as applicable to company business. Interacts with vendors, customers, and internal clients of the company and manages outside counsel with the assistance of supervising attorney. Must adhere to a strict code of ethics.

Responsabilities:

  • Monitor company policies to ensure adherence to labor regulations.
  • Oversee daily personnel operations, manage employee relations, and implement lawful procedures.
  • Mediate disputes between labor unions and company.
  • Represent unions or management in collective bargaining, contract negotiations, arbitration, and workplace litigation.
  • Work for agencies to inspect workplaces, enforce minimum wage laws, and investigate unfair practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law with a Specialization or Master's degree in Labor Law required.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience providing legal advice on Labor Law matters, managing labor relations, employment litigation, and regulatory compliance, unions negotiations. Oil & Gas industry is a plus.
  • Availability to travel nationwide.
  • Advanced English level required
