Job Description

Mopar Collision Analyst for Business Intelligence

The Collision Analyst for Business Intelligence supports Mopar collision and service parts performance by translating complex datasets into actionable insights. This role develops dashboards, reporting, and analytics that help leaders and cross-functional partners improve claim accuracy, parts availability, pricing and competitiveness, repair network performance, and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain BI solutions (dashboards, scorecards, recurring reports) to monitor collision-related KPIs such as parts fill rate, cycle time, supplement rate, estimate accuracy, backorder impacts, pricing competitiveness, and network performance.
  • Integrate and analyze data from multiple sources (e.g., parts sales/shipments, catalog/pricing, dealer and collision center performance, claims/warranty where applicable, market and program data).
  • Build data models and metrics definitions; document business logic and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis to answer business questions, identify trends, diagnose drivers, and quantify financial and operational impacts.
  • Partner with collision operations, product/program teams, pricing, supply chain, finance, and IT to translate requirements into analytics deliverables.
  • Improve data quality by identifying anomalies, partnering on root-cause investigation, and recommending process/data fixes.
  • Automate manual reporting processes, streamline data pipelines, and implement governance for consistent, trusted reporting.
  • Create executive-ready storytelling: clear visuals, concise narratives, and recommendations based on evidence.
  • Support experimentation and program measurement (e.g., before/after impact analyses, pilot evaluation, ROI tracking).

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data reporting roles.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience querying relational databases and large datasets.
  • Experience building dashboards and self-service analytics (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Excel for analysis and data validation.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses and measurable metrics.
  • Strong communication skills, including presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, data integrity, and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in automotive aftersales, collision repair, parts distribution, dealer operations, or insurance/claims analytics.
  • Experience with data transformation and working knowledge of systematic analytics and automation.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts (star schema, dimensional modeling) and semantic models.
  • Familiarity with KPI governance, data cataloging, and definitions management.
  • Understanding of estimating platforms and collision workflow concepts (e.g., labor operations, supplements, parts procurement, cycle time drivers).

Tools & Technologies (examples):

  • BI/Visualization: Power BI (DAX), Tableau, or similar
  • Data: SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
  • Analytics/Automation: Python, R, Power Query, VBA (as needed)
  • Collaboration: SharePoint/Teams, Jira/Azure DevOps (as applicable)

Core Competencies:

  • Business acumen and curiosity; ability to connect operational metrics to financial outcomes
  • Analytical rigor: hypothesis-driven thinking, validation, and repeatable methods
  • Data storytelling and visualization best practices
  • Stakeholder management and requirements gathering
  • Continuous improvement mindset and bias for automation
