We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Collibra SME (Subject Matter Expert) to lead enterprise data governance initiatives by leveraging the Collibra Platform to improve data quality, governance, and compliance. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on expertise in Collibra, data governance frameworks, and data quality management, who are passionate about enabling organizations to maximize the value of their data assets.

As a Collibra SME, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing the Collibra Platform while collaborating with business stakeholders, data stewards, architects, and technical teams to establish effective governance practices. You will play a critical role in defining metadata standards, improving data quality processes, supporting regulatory compliance, and ensuring trusted, well-governed data across the enterprise. This role offers the opportunity to work on enterprise-scale data governance programs and contribute to strategic data management initiatives.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise data governance solutions using the Collibra Platform
• Configure and customize Collibra workflows, business glossaries, data catalogs, policies, and governance assets based on business requirements.
• Support the implementation of enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with business users, data stewards, architects, and engineering teams to define governance processes and metadata management strategies.
• Develop and maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, lineage, ownership, classifications, and governance documentation.
• Monitor and improve data quality by defining validation rules, profiling datasets, and implementing quality monitoring processes.
• Assist in identifying, analyzing, and resolving data quality issues across enterprise data platforms.
• Support regulatory compliance initiatives by ensuring governance policies align with organizational and industry standards.
• Work with technical teams to integrate Collibra with enterprise data sources, ETL processes, and reporting platforms.
• Create governance reports, dashboards, and metrics to measure data quality, stewardship, and governance effectiveness.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to business users and data stewards on Collibra capabilities and governance processes.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve governance workflows, metadata management, and overall platform utilization.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 3+ years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Management with strong expertise in the Collibra Platform
• Hands-on experience configuring and administering Collibra including workflows, business glossaries, catalogs, policies, and governance assets.
• Strong understanding of data quality principles, profiling, validation, and issue resolution processes.
• Knowledge of enterprise data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data stewardship best practices.
• Experience working with data lineage, data catalogs, business glossaries, and governance operating models.
• Familiarity with SQL, enterprise databases, ETL processes, and data integration concepts.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance, data privacy, and enterprise data governance standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify governance gaps and recommend scalable solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with experience collaborating across business and technical teams.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into effective governance solutions using the Collibra Platform.
