Job Description

College Faculty - Electrical EngineeringFaculty are responsible to prepare and teach courses using a Christian-traditional philosophy of education in alignment with the college doctrinal position, mission, and values; mentor and advise students; assist with curriculum development and assessment; and participate in various committees and professional development opportunities.

Teaching subject areas could include electromagnetic fields, power systems, circuits, linear systems, embedded systems, automatic control systems, and digital logic.

Prepare and Teach Assigned Courses
Prepare courses that align with program and institutional outcomes and include expected content that is appropriate to the level and type of course. Provide classroom, laboratory, or private lesson instruction from a Christian perspective in a manner designed to assist students in achieving course learning outcomes.

Evaluate and Advise Students
Evaluate student achievement impartially and in accordance with college guidelines. Provide regular, timely feedback that accurately measures achievement of the course learning outcomes. Support student success by maintaining regular office hours to advise students regarding course content, degree completion, and career preparation.

Assist with Curriculum Development and Assessment
Participate in curriculum development, assessment, review, and modification. Develop course syllabi that clearly outline course requirements, scope, and sequence. Update courses annually through evaluation of student achievement, as well as input from students, academic administrators, curriculum committees, and benchmarking.

Perform General Responsibilities
Follow policies and procedures as outlined in the Faculty Manual. Actively participate in committees as assigned. Participate in professional development activities that enhance subject-matter expertise, professional growth, and instructional effectiveness.

Capable of Using Department-specific Software Applications, Comfortable with Technology (Including a Personal Computer), Committed to Continuous Improvement, Constructive Feedback, Customer Service, Dedicated to Mastering Field of Study, Interpersonal Relationships, Oral Communications, Organized, Work Collaboratively, Written Communication

We reserve the right to fill this role at a higher/lower grade level based on ministry needs. An assessment may be required to be considered for this position.
