
The College & Career Coordinator is responsible for the planning, implementation, and supervision of College & Career programs at the site, ensuring that members receive comprehensive support to achieve their educational and career goals. This role involves direct service to youth, managing case managers, and coordinating with community partners to enhance program offerings.
The College & Career Coordinator will work closely with the Director of College & Career Development to execute strategic initiatives that align with Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles' mission to empower youth to Learn, Explore, Achieve, and Dream (L.E.A.D). The Coordinator ensures that programs support the Director’s vision and goals, providing data-driven insights and feedback to enhance effectiveness.
This role is responsible for implementing and growing BGCMLA’s College & Career Bound model, fostering a college- and career-going culture, and strengthening teen connections to the Club.
This position will primarily be stationed at the Watts/Willowbrook Club during after-school program hours. The Coordinator’s morning and early afternoon schedule will be divided between Alliance Cindy & Bill Simon Technology Academy High School and Alliance Burton Technology Academy, based on program needs, agreed-upon schedules, and school partnership deliverables.
