Collections Supervisor-Water Mitigation Insurance Claims

Roto-Rooter Services Company seeks a results-driven Collections Supervisor to lead a high-volume water mitigation insurance collections team at the corporate home office, located in downtown, Cincinnati. This on-site, hands-on role is responsible for supervising daily outbound and inbound insurance follow-up activities, assist the team on resolving unpaid and denied claims, and drive individual and team performance through coaching and training.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years leadership experience, a background in collections, some knowledge of insurance claims, and the ability to motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.

This role will provide an annual salary between $52,000-$56,000, depending on experience. You will also be provided company-paid parking in a nearby parking facility.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills & Responsibilities:

• Supervise, coach and motivate a growing team of collections specialists in a fast-paced environment to meet and exceed collection goals.
• Monitor daily collection activity and follow up to ensure processes are being followed and results are achieved within company expectations.
• Enforce company A/R and collections policies, procedures and best practices.
• Oversee insurance claim follow-up, denial resolution, and customer payments.
• Monitor and manage escalated collections accounts, including complex or high-dollar claims
• Professionally partner with our local operations in multiple locations and a joint in-house team.
• Assist with hiring, training, performance evaluations, and corrective actions.
• Prepare and deliver daily & weekly performance reports to management.
• Highly motivated self-starter, detail-oriented, strong communication skills

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
• 2-4 years experience in collections, preferably with homeowner's insurance, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role
• Proficiency in Microsoft (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive) and Excel
• Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
