The Collections Clerk facilitates the collection of delinquent accounts, by contacting customers and requiring the payment of overdue fees. Key Responsibilities & Duties Requests and pursues payment on delinquent accounts via communication with account holder.Follows established guidelines to review and update account status.Maintains log of payment promises and pertinent account details, schedules follow-up communication with account holder.Establishes and maintains positive relationships with customers.Provides timely and accurate response to customer inquiries and to our overseas agents.Follows corporate guidelines when addressing customer inquiries regarding shipments.Escalates unique or complex customer issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary. Generates potential solutions to customer issues. Provides feedback regarding current corporate practices and metrics to support process efficiencies.Performs other duties as assigned.
This role requires working on-site in the office for five days a week, from Monday to Friday. There is no option for fully remote or hybrid work in this role, unless required off-site duties are being performed.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in a similar field (credit, accounts receivable, etc.)English: advancedStrong attention to detailOrganized, efficient, and able to manage time effectivelyStrong customer service mindset, focused, and responsiveAbility to work under tight deadlinesGreat team playerKnowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software Physical Demands Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time Work Authorization Authorization to work in the U.S
