Position Summary

The Collections Specialist is a very important role in the organization. They are responsible for the collection of payments on orders we produce.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitoring accounts receivables reports to identify problematic accounts.
• Contacting problematic account and negotiating payment.
• Contacting customers to collect overdue invoices.
• Document conversations and agreements.
• Assure customers profiles are up to date.
• Communicate with sales department on customer accounts.
• Answering phone and assisting walk in customers.
• Cross train for all office positions (receivables, reception, payables)

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Organizational skills are critical
• Ability to use critical thinking skills to solve problems

Education/Experience/Certification

• Working knowledge of MS Office, Access and Quickbooks
• Proven experience as a Collections Specialist or similar roles
• Knowledge of collection laws and regulations
• High school diploma or GED
• Two years office experience
