The Impact You Will Have

*Must reside in Minnesota to be eligible for this position* In this position, you will review and process routine collection or over payment accounts via telephone or in writing and responds to accounts orally or in writing for Medical, Group, Prescription, and/or SelectAccount.

What You’ll Do

• Prepares delinquency or over payment notices and communicates the notice to the affected account(s).
• Maintains records and files on accounts.
• Reviews and process collection items and posts to accounts.
• Answers inquiries concerning accounts.

How You’ll Do It

• Traces unpaid items to determine reasons for nonpayment or over payment and negotiates payment arrangements with accounts.
• Prepares various schedules and special reports.
• Balances collection totals and makes adjusting entries to appropriate accounts.
• Performs additional responsibilities consistent with the scope and level of the role, as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

• 1+ years of related work experience
• High school diploma (or equivalent)

Preferred Skills & Experience

• 1+ years of related experience in collections, customer service, payment operations, healthcare administration, finance, or a related field.
• Experience researching and resolving account, payment, or claim-related issues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly with varied internal contacts, actively listen to clarify needs, and ensure accurate and timely information exchange.
• Ability to recognize patterns in recurring issues, gather relevant information, and collaborate with others to implement practical solutions.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks across assignments, manage time effectively, and adjust to shifting workloads while maintaining accuracy.
• Experience working with healthcare claims, collections, overpayments, payment reconciliation, or cash management processes.
• Experience coordinating work assignments and providing operational support across teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business systems used for payment and account research.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and customer service skills.
• Performs additional responsibilities consistent with the scope and level of the role, as assigned.

Role Designation

Remote

Teleworker

Role designation definition: Teleworking is working full time remote. Hybrid is a minimum of 2 days onsite. Onsite is full-time onsite.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $21.50 - $24.59 - $29.51 Hourly

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
