The Collections Specialist is responsible in managing Social Security Administration (SSA) Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) accounts receivable, maintaining SSA contacts, analyzing fee-related correspondence, and supporting collections in alignment with client contracts.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

• The Collections Specialist shall perform duties and responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
• Call the Social Security Administration (SSA) Payment Centers for status checks on outstanding SSDI AR invoices.
• Analyze documents, and respond to SSA, on all fee related correspondence
• Create and maintain extensive contacts throughout all SSA Payment Centers with Benefit Authorizers, Claim Authorizers, and Deputy and Mod managers.
• Extensive knowledge of client contracts and how it relates to accounts receivable, collections and fee schedules
• Reports directly to the Senior Collections Analyst
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• At least 1+ years Collections Specialist
  experience

• General collections
• Preferred to have AR Collections knowledge
• Preferably at least a 2 yr Graduate (Associate level), but still open with undergraduates as long as with good Collections experience/
• Non-negotiable requirements
• Excellent communications skills
• Straight-forward & strong spoken when conversing
• Tends to ask relevant questions
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Salesforce, and experience using GL Systems Workday a plus.
• Excel Skill is average (basic tracking, formulas, xlookup)
• Open to work on Shifting schedule (Predominantly on a night shift: 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
